Product Review feat. Mane Like Me!
Hi there! It's been so long since I have shared a blog-style product review. So, I wanted to start with a hair care product line that I love dearly! Hope you all will enjoy it!
Mane Like Me was launched in February 2018. The founder of this haircare brand, Mrs. Quecina (@pinkstarnute_naturalhair on social media), contacted me to try her very own Revive and Retain Duo Haircare System that includes the Moisturizing Hair Pudding along the Hair and Scalp Oil. Later, she released the 10-in-1 Mane Revitalizer Spray which became a part of the Trio Haircare System. Now, there is an Ultimate Haircare System which includes the Refreshing & Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. This product line is made for all curls, coils, and kinks. Also, I must not forget to mention that all of these products are 100% FREE of parabens, sulfates, silicones, petrolatum, mineral oil and formaldehyde!
Now, let's review the entire Revive & Retain Ultimate Haircare System!
Refreshing & Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner
The Refreshing & Moisturizing Shampoo is enriched with great botanical ingredients (aloe, mint, shea, argan, jojoba and sea buckthorn). This shampoo has a very creamy consistency and applies to the scalp and hair shaft very well. I truly fell in love with the minty sensation that I felt as I massaged this shampoo throughout my scalp. It's a total stress-reliever! Also, you do not have to use a lot of product at a time and still receive a good amount of lather when using it. As a result, my hair did not feel stripped after rinsing this product. I was happy that my curls felt defined after using this shampoo. So, it is a winner in my book!
The Refreshing & Moisturizing Conditioner is enriched with the same great ingredients as the shampoo (aloe, mint, shea, argan, jojoba and sea buckthorn) along with hibiscus, green tea, and pomegranate. This conditioner has a thick and creamy consistency. This conditioner is so moisturizing and has a lot of slip while detangling (TWO THUMBS UP!). It, also, has the same minty sensation as the shampoo! After rinsing, my hair strands felt soft and strong from the great ingredients this product has. With my hair type, I usually use more than an average amount of product (a.k.a. Heavy Handed Lol). So when it's time to restock on this conditioner... I will need to double-up!
10-in-1 Mane Revitalizer
The 10-in-1 Mane Revitalizer is a refresher spray that hydrates moisturizes and conditions the hair strands. You can use this on damp or dry hair. It has a multi-purpose use as a light leave-in conditioner and a great refresher to styles such as twists, braids, locs and more! I can tell you now. Ever since I tried this product (September 2018), my hair has felt so much better in its health. Having this in my stash has helped me to keep my hair moisturized throughout the week and stretch my styles (twists, twist outs, buns, etc.) even further! I truly recommend this refresher spray to anyone who has trouble with dry hair.
Moisturizing Hair Pudding
The Moisturizing Hair Pudding is a lovely whipped cream enriched with ingredients such as avocado, shea, soothing aloe, olive oil, carrot oil, nettle, and vitamins A & E. THIS IS MY FIRST LOVE!! When I apply this hair pudding, my hair instantly feels hydrated and moisturized! With such great ingredients, this cream leaves your hair with a beautiful shine! Also, my curls respond so well with great volume every time! So this product never weighs my hair down. All in all, I truly recommend this hair pudding 100% to all hair types. It has been in my stash since it was released last year. So, that is saying a lot!
Hair & Scalp Oil
The Hair & Scalp Oil is a great multi-herbal oil blend with a purpose to improve blood circulation to the scalp and stimulate hair follicles for faster natural hair growth. This contains awesome ingredients such as coconut oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, and sweet almond oil! I love massaging this onto my scalp on wash day (many times as a pre-poo). It is a great sealant for any leave-in conditioners or hair creams that you like to use. I always like to seal the revitalizer and hair pudding with this oil, which allows my hair strands to stay moisturized for up to 3 days before I need to refresh my style! It is a very light oil, but it is very rich with its ingredients. So, you do not need to use a lot at a time!
Oh, I forget to mention that ALL of these products smell AMAZING!!
